THE BOARD

Chairman – Eric J Lewis OBE, MBA, FRAes,

International industrialist, Eric J Lewis joined RUMM as Group Chairman and equity shareholder in 2009. Eric joined RUMM at a key stage in their growth and remains committed to ensuring RUMM’s success.

He undertakes an invaluable role in helping to shape and drive the strategic development of the company.

Eric has previously held a number of key posts in the aerospace and precision engineering sectors, including Executive Director on the Board of Meggitt PLC. He was also CEO of Doncasters Group Ltd and Executive.
Business Development & Marketing Director – Jamie Watkins BSc, MSc, MIIE Jamie is a co-founder of RUMM and has a first class degree in electrical engineering and a Masters in computer Science.

Involved in setting up and running businesses for over 15 years, Jamie has been named for the last two years in the Who’s Who of the Business Elite – Young Business Leaders.

Jamie drives forward the sales and marketing in the business and develops the strategic partnership. He ensures excellent service delivery to our clients. He has been at the forefront of shaping the commercial offering and continues to focus on growing the business. He is also non-executive chairman of Imperium Systems Ltd.

Key Accounts Director – Dr Steve Lloyd BEng (Tech), PhD A co-founder of RUMM, Steve holds a PhD in the thermodynamics area and is also Head of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Glamorgan.

Once a practicing energy manager, Steve now heads up the technical analysis for each client, remains abreast of research in the energy field and writes associated papers. He is also the main academic link with the post-graduates working on energy management related research at the University.


Commercial Director – Steve Thomas CEng, BSc (Hons), MIMechE, FHEA Steve is a chartered mechanical engineer and was also a co-founder of RUMM.

His area of expertise lies in the field of industrial and project management and it is these skills he brings to the table in ensuring all the commercial aspects of RUMM are dealt with efficiently and effectively. These skills come to the fore when heading up RUMM’s regular strategic planning sessions.
Operations Director – Dr Russell Payne, BSc (Hons), PhDRussell has a degree in energy and environmental management and a PhD in thermodynamics.

Russell has worked in the field of energy management for 13 years.  He was the first energy manager employed by RUMM and helped make the company the success it is today.  Russell now heads up the organisations operations.   His technical expertise and knowledge ensure RUMM are leaders in energy management consultancy.
